In The Season of Frost and Fire, Wiccan Priestess and green witch Rebecca Beattie shares 13 luminous rituals to bring warmth, light and renewal to the darkest days – from fire rituals that welcome in the winter and banish fears on stormy nights to comforting ceremonies that honour our desire for inspiration and transformation.
Discover the tarot cards that will light our path from the first frost to the thaw of early spring. Meet the forgotten goddesses who will become our companions and guides in the shadows. Hear bewitching tales of shapeshifting beings and thin veils between mist-covered worlds. Even in winter’s quiet, Beattie reveals the warmth, wisdom and renewal alive beneath the surface of things.
Beautifully packaged, with black and white illustrations, The Season of Frost and Fire is the perfect wintry gift and a unique insight into a witch’s winter for anyone curious about witchcraft, wild magic and tradition.
Sarah Rigby, Publishing Director at Elliott & Thompson says
‘Winter is often seen as a season for retreat – but what if the cold months hold their own magic? We’re thrilled to be working with Rebecca Beattie on this luminous book that’s woven with ritual for the dark times. The Season of Frost and Fire is alive with wonder: honouring endings, kindling hope and welcoming the light’s slow return.’
Rebecca Beattie, author of The Season of Frost and Fire, says:
‘In writing The Season of Frost and Fire, I wanted to share a celtic-inspired love song to a season that humans have struggled with since the beginning of human existence. We have been taught to fear winter, and to avoid it by turning the electric lights and the central heating on full blast. The pagan approach to the season offers an alternative where we can lean into it, and rediscover the magic hidden all around us.’
