After serving in the British Army for ten years, Jeremy Archer now lives in London and works in the City. An enthusiastic historian, he has travelled the world visiting battlefields. He writes occasional articles for a variety of publications, including the British Army Review. His first book, Home for Christmas, was an anthology of wartime Christmas extracts from 1777 to the present day. His second, Away at Christmas, looked at how the season was celebrated by some of the world's best-known explorers. His latest book, A Royal Christmas, looks at how the Royals have celebrated Christmastime from the Medieval age to the present day.
